Goddamn this week was STACKED with some killer releases. Some old favourites returning, big names and small, along with some hidden gems. Biiiiiiig old list with Death Metal of almost every flavour, a double dose of Blackened Thrash, and of course some obligatory Black Metal.
It's that time again! Sunday, lovely Sunday. A juicer of a list this week, with a blend of returning favourites and fresh discoveries! There's Melodeath! There's Doom! There's whatever genre you can even count Violet Cold as! Grab a plate and serve yourself a slice of piping hot metal.
Hi Gang! In my ongoing quest to recruit as many folks as possible to come to Damnation Festival in Manchester in November, and because I didn't have much time to listen to new music this week, I figured I'd do a post dedicated to introducing the frankly spectacular lineup so far!
N.b., Damnation is technically a 1-dayer, with a 'pre show' on the Friday before called 'Night of Salvation', dedicated to special album sets. IMHO, it's effectively the second day of the festival, so I'll be recommending interchangeably, but if I mention a specific album that's being played, assume it's the Fri, not the Sat!
