Back again, and entirely recovered from Friday's shenannigans, and do I have a list for you! Supecharged with some I missed from last week and fresh releases, I've an absolutely bumper crop of bangers for y'all to pick over today. Crust, Sludge, Death and so much Black Metal I've even given it it's own section. Also, I don't really comment on cover art much, but some absolutely gorgeous work on display on some cuts this week, but I'll leave that for y'all to discover. ENJOY!

Wow. What a week. What a month! Genuinely possibly the best month of releases this year, and we end on a real bang! Various flavours of Black Metal fusion (including a Magpie Corner for the new WITTR!), SLUDGE, Gothic doom, and much much more! Well, some more. Actually, I lied, that's basically everything. Or is it? Only one way to find out!
I hope everyone is nice and recovering from the Freshers Crawl/Sonic Dissonance, and didn't have too much fun without me! Well goddamn, what a fucking nutty week for releases though. An absolutely bumper crop spanning from proggy death, several flavours of Black, Sludge, Hardcore and even a goddamn Baroness album! Take your pick from this week's finest:

Hi Gang! In my ongoing quest to recruit as many folks as possible to come to Damnation Festival in Manchester in November, and because I didn't have much time to listen to new music this week, I figured I'd do a post dedicated to introducing the frankly spectacular lineup so far!
N.b., Damnation is technically a 1-dayer, with a 'pre show' on the Friday before called 'Night of Salvation', dedicated to special album sets. IMHO, it's effectively the second day of the festival, so I'll be recommending interchangeably, but if I mention a specific album that's being played, assume it's the Fri, not the Sat!
My brain is currently leaking out of my ears thanks to a particularly vicious hangover, so some of my descriptions might lack a bit of the usual flare, but this week's set is a really great selection, even if I do say so myself! Once again, fun blend of flavours to pick from, enjoy!
